Coimbatore: A 36-year-old tea plantation worker died after being attacked by a bear in Valparai Tamil Nadu on Tuesday night.
Forest officials launched a bear search which is believed to roam close to human residence and tea plantations.
The deceased has been identified as Mohan Raj.
According to forest officers, Mohanraj and his wife, both of them worked at Villoni Tea Estates, returning home after work on Tuesday night.

Participants rushed to his help.
They chased the bear and saved Mohan Raj, who was injured.
They rushed to a private hospital where he was declared “taken dead.” The body was shifted to Valparai Government Hospital for Postmortem.
