Nagpur: two days after the state government allowed Covid-19 vaccination patients in bed, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) initiated a special drive plan for the next citizens in the following days.
This is another special effort by the Civic Agency after camp for foreign bound students, drive-in for the elderly, the Muslim community and the latest creature for the transgender community.
Support City Commissioner Ram Joshi told TI that the Google form would float on Tuesday and posted on the NMC website.
“Relatives can fill out the form on behalf of family members in the bed.
People who do not move because of losing limbs, old age or certain diseases will get a jab at home.
They need to show a medical certificate,” he said.
Like the government’s steps seeking registration via email ID covidvacc2bedridden@gmail.com, NMC allows direct registration that will help start the earliest drive.
After the Civic body gets two or more qualified applicants, it will send a team to investigate with the covishield vaccine.
The application will be received for several days and if the amount is quite high, the drive will begin the next day.
“For the first three days, we will wait to see how many applications come.
There is no specific schedule that is fixed.
It can be in every two days or more,” Joshi said.
Beneficiaries will be informed of the arrival of the NMC Inoculation team.
They will also wait for 30 minutes after giving injection, Joshi said.
Meanwhile, the district government began a special drive for transgender people and homeless people at the Sarath Trust office in Sitabuldi and Karabi, on Monday.
In all centers like the NMC ran the lack of covishield doses.
In the press record, the Civic body tells you that the drive will be held in a limited way for all age groups on Tuesday.
