SLUG: The road to SuccessNagpur: With Civic polls due early next year, BJP in power in Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) seems to hope for a smooth encouragement to maintain strength by increasing road infrastructure.
Road maintenance in the city has been ignored over the past five years.
The opposition parties in NMC, including Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena, have threatened to corner the ruling party in the regional election that will come on the streets that have been hit by Potholes.

The Civic Administration has prepared a plan for 14 road asphalt and the conversion of four road tar into cement-concrete.
Now, the NMC Public Works Department has submitted a proposal before the permanent committee as its chairman Prakash Bhoyar has held a meeting on October 29.
NMC has proposed to spend 10.21 crore Rs to strengthen 18 roads.
The last meeting, the panel had provided a nod to change the four tar roads into concrete and peek at 11 other roads throughout the city.
Dayashankar Tiwari directed him to re-return the NMC budget to allocate more funds to improve road conditions throughout the city.

The highest number of roads was selected from Hanuman Nagar Zone (5), followed by Dhantoli (4).

Likewise, two tar roads will be extended under the Satranjipura zone, while two tar roads will be converted into cement roads.
One road tar below the Dharampeth zone has also been selected.
In the Mangalwari zone, one tar road has been resolved to turn it into a cement road.
