Beijing: Beijing City has launched various steps to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic by imposing restrictions on travelers from regions with a relatively high level of viral transmission.
According to Chinese Media Global Times, people from medium-risk or high-risk areas planning to return to Beijing will be prevented from buying tickets for air and train services.
Beijing authorities said that health codes for people who are still in medium and high-risk areas will be adjusted to the yellow color, and anyone with a health code that is not green will not be allowed to take a plane or train to Beijing.
Presenting green health codes will be a must.
This came because several cities in China watched a surge in Covid-19 cases.

Beijing Daxing International Airport has announced a suspension of flight routes from 15 cities including plague hotspots such as Nanjing, Yangzhou and Zhangjiajie.

Meanwhile, the Beijing International Film Festival has been postponed because of the new Covid-19 outbreak in the country, Sputnik reported quoting the official statement on Thursday.
“Because the epidemic outbreak has recently in many regions in the country, the 11th Beijing International Film Festival, which was originally scheduled for August 14-21, will be postponed for public security and health reasons,” said the statement.
However, the committee has not announced how long the festival will be postponed, reporting sputnik.
