Beijing said the Biden Administrative decision to suspend flights to China as ‘does not make sense’

WASHINGTON: When the tension between us and China is increasing on suspension of flights, China said the Biden Administrative decision to suspend 44 flights to China from the United States which was very unreasonable.
“It doesn’t make sense to the US to suspend China Airlines flights on this land,” Liu Pengyu, spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in Washington told Sputnik.
“We urge the US side to stop annoying and limit normal passenger flights operated by the Chinese airline,” Pengyu said.
Previously, Biden administration suspended 44 flights to China from the United States by replying to the Chinese government’s decision to suspend several US flights rather than Covid-19 concerns.
Flights suspended to China began on January 30 and included flights from Xiamen Airlines operators, China Southern Airlines Company and Air China, Sputnik reported.
China recently canceled several US flights which were bound to their country because of a positive passenger testing surge for Covid-19.
Chinese Civil Aviation Authority on January 19 has suspended 44 passenger flight segments to China by US operators despite repeated objections from the Biden government, according to orders.
