Belarus uses refugees as a weapon, must face more EU sanctions, Lithuania said

Brussels: The European Union must consider the fifth round of sanctions on Belarus because the country’s government flew in migrants from abroad to send them illegally to the block, Lithuanian Foreign Minister said on Monday.
“When refugees are used as political weapons …
I will talk to my colleagues so that the European Union has a shared strategy,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis when he arrived for a meeting with his EU colleagues, called for more sanctions.
Lithuania began building 550 km (320 miles) barriers to the razor wire on her border with Belarus on Friday, after accusing the authority of Belarus to send hundreds of Iraqi migrants, especially to Lithuania.
