New Delhi: Belgian police recently warned Android application users about the return of the ‘Joker’ virus.
One of the most persistent viruses, Joker attacks Android devices and hides themselves in various applications on the Google Play Store.
This virus is said to be able to subscribe to users to payment services without their authorization.
“This malicious program has been detected in eight Play Store applications that have been pressed by Google,” said Belgium police in a statement published on its website.
Incidentally, the 8 applications are the same as researchers in the fast security laboratory detected in June this year.
Google deletes this application from the Play Store after being told about malware.
However, Android users need to delete this application from their smartphone.
And when the commemoration of the new Belgian authorities show that there are users who still have this application on their devices and become victims of Joker malware.
A list of Android applications influenced by Joker Viruses: * Message auxiliary * Element Scanner * Fast Magic SMS * Free camscanner messages * Super * Super SMS messages * Joker travel wallpapers are one of the most persistent malware that keeps targeting Android devices.
It was first detected in 2017.
According to researchers at Quick Heal, Joker stole user data, including SMS, contact list, device info, OTPS, and others.
“You take a big surprise at the end of the month in a bank account or on your credit card,” said the Belgian police, warning the application because of subscribing to an affected Android user for paid services, usually actually getting it to find out.
