Akshay Kumar finally delivered entertainment to the audience with the ‘Bell Bottom’ spy-thriller which was widely awaited which was released throughout the country on Thursday.
The film marked the first bollywood ticket to the big screen since the cinema hall was closed for almost a year due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Starring Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta and Adil Hussain in an important role, espionage managed to reach more than 1600 screens in India.
While trade analyst estimates the film opening business around Rs 5 Crore, now according to BoxOfficeIndia.in, Akshay Kumar-Vaani Kapoor Starrer has recorded RS 3 Crore around on the opening day.
With only 50% of residence in the cinema room in most states, the number is said to take on weekends.
Meanwhile, this film also missed business in Maharashtra when the film room remained closed for security measures.
Interestingly, the last film Akshay ‘Good Newwz’ released in the Pre-Covid era has received Rs 17.56 Crore alone on the 1st day.
Talking about the risk of releasing movies when only 50% residential in theaters and other restrictions, Akshay has told PTI, “The pressure is in everyone, but I am very sure that everything will succeed.
