Story: A disguised agent named Bellbottom started the secret mission to release the 210 hostages held by the hijacker ‘Bell Bottom’.
After a plane was hijacked and landed in Amritsar, the seventh piracy incident in five years, Kumar was taken to save the day.
The film is centered around the plan from a brave secret operation to save 210 hostages and neutralize four hijackers.
The fact that the operation is connected to the personal tragedy makes it more impact.
Like several other Kumar films inspired by the real incident, the Director of Ranjit Tiwari was based on two events that occurred in the late 70s and early 80s during Indira Gandhi’s time as Indian prime minister.
Very commendable that the film was shot during a pandemic in various locations in India and Scotland.
Enter Smashing Smashing as Bell Bottom certainly pulled several whistles and cheered because someone could not ignore the fact that he looked slim, suitable and agile, and a sharp army personality sport.
Bell Bottom, who looks playing husband to Vaani Kapoor is a national level chess player.
He has a sharp and fluent memory in Hindi, English, French and German.
Vaani Kapoor as a beautiful Kumar wife on the screen and even with a limited screen time, she supports its character well.
The film is also Fair Bintang Hussain, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta in an important role.
Given the type of buzz film produced, mostly around the Dutta make-up, we certainly can say that the change as the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi is quite neat.
He can hardly be recognizable! Huma Qureshi seems to help the Indian team come out while they save Indian citizens stuck on a plane that was hijacked.

He uses his star power completely, with Gusto.
Photographing Indira Gandhi on the screen does not mean achievements and Dutta looks confident and convincing in that section.

Kumar was played by Dolly Ahluwalia and they shared some touching and funny scenes together.
Written by Aeem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh, this film is interesting and managed to get your attention for all 123 minutes.
However, you must hold on to every minute of the action when it was revealed because there was a lot of back and forth in the storyline.
The film rate remains stable and narrative and character does not lose momentum.
While you ride along with stories, the incident revealed doesn’t really absorb you emotionally.
With this genre film, you will expect a lot of Rudebump’s moments, but this is not the problem.
Also, this film keeps you with some unanswered questions, such as hostages’ suffering and terrorist piracy plans.
This film climax is a bit that is underwhelming and suddenly suddenly.
Overall, this film has its weaknesses, but does not fail to entertain.
‘Bell Bottom’ lives with the charm of a Commercial Bollywood film, a large scale that is worth releasing on the big screen.
And, of course, the fact that this film marked the reopening of the theater after months of shutdown because of the second wave of pandemic, cinema audiences could treat themselves with a big cinema experience with this one.
