Bengal assembly session: Governor cut short speech

Kolkata: Governor of West Bengal Jagdeep Dhankhar on Friday reduced his speech at the State Assembly in the middle of a constant sloga shouting by BJP MLA.
BJP MLA raised the slogan ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and walked out of the assembly to protest violence after the poll in the state, Ani’s news agency reported.
“Violence after the poll is a big problem.
The fight will last until the end,” said opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari at a press conference after walkout by BJP Mlaas from the Assembly.
The first session of the new Western Bengal Assembly began on Friday amidst the library lines that were very rooted between the Government of Mamata Banerjee and BJP for various problems including violence after the poll.
Business Assembly will continue until July 8.
The state budget for 2021-22 will be placed on July 7.
Post violence: Calcutta HC ordered the police to register all cases, while ordered the police to register all cases of victims of violence after the poll in West Bengal.
