Kolkata: Targeting the Governor of West Bengal Jagdeep Dhankhar without noring him, Minister of Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday no one had to try to make a crack between the speakers and representatives of the speaker, called the “unacceptable” effort.
His comment came in the background of the recent controversy over Dhankhar asked Deputy Speaker Ashis Banerjee, instead of Biman Banerjee’s speaker, to give an oath to the four newly elected MLA TMC.
Banerjee said everyone had to respect the speaker seat and did not destroy it.
“I don’t want to call anyone but no one has to try to demean the speaker seat.
The speaker chair is the biggest constitutional post in the Assembly.
If someone tries to make a crack between the speaker and the representative of the speaker, then it is not acceptable and unfair,” he told the Assembly Country.
After Dhankhar ratified the representative of the speaker, Parliament Minister Parliament Chatterjee wrote to the governor who asked him to allow Biman Banerjee’s speaker to manage the oath.
Dhankhar agreed and Banan Banerjee gave an oath to Subrata Mandal, Braj Kishore Goswami, Guha Udayan and Minister of State Sobhandebadhyay on Tuesday.
“The attitude that I myself will do everything and the others will sit silently incorrectly.
We need to change this attitude,” Supremo TMC said.
