Kolkata: Twelve years after retiring from a government school in Khardah, Iraq Basu (72), a sister of former Buddhadeb Minister of Buddhadeb’s wife, Mira’s wife, received its retirement order from the District School Inspector (in) on Wednesday.
Barrackpore in Shantanu Kr Sinha, along with Krishnakali Chanda, Head of the Khardah Priyanath Girls High School where Basu taught, and several officers of the Barrackpore treasury office visited his rented house in Paschimpara near Rahara and submitted orders for retirement payments.
The source said the order passed within 12 days of MP Trinamool Abhishek Banerjee convincing basu to overcome the monthly pension problem.
“We sent his documents to the office in.
But before, he was asked by a former principal to hand over his documents to get his retirement, but he didn’t.
We were glad he finally received a retirement order.
He will also get all 12 years old arrears,” Chanda said.
Basu, a former teacher of life science, has lived on the sidewalk under Flylover Dunlop for several years.
Retirement on June 28, 2009, he was entitled to a monthly retirement, which he never claimed.
“There was a slight negligence in my section.
But Abhishek Banerjee sent several people to me and convinced me to see a retirement problem.
I thank Minister of Mamata Banerjee and MP Abhishek Banerjee to take the initiative for my retirement.
I have received an order,” he said.
Putri Bhattacharjee, Suchetana said that Ira had nominated it as its retirement successor, but she was reluctant to accept its properties.
