Kolkata: Colleges and universities have begun looking for hospital partners for tie-ups and preparing insulation and quarantine facilities before reopening.
Some colleges also tend to call administrative meetings to relate this among other problems.
The country in SOP which is reopened has requested all educational institutions higher to prepare isolation and quarantine facilities and it is recommended to bind with a government hospital or approved place for those who need emergency attention.
Madhumanjari Mandal, Principal, Scottish Church College, said, “We have made a tie-up with the nearest hospital.
After reopening, they plan to arrange a conscious camp on campus.” Mandal said, “We also need to plan hostel accommodation and arrangements Classrooms.
Hopefully next week will be resolved next week.
“Indranil Kar, Principal, Surendranath College, said,” We are undergoing a bond with Calcutta Medical College.
We are ready to have an isolation room and have a place for staff on campus that can be used as quarantine zones.
“Snhehamanju Basu, Registrar, Jadavpur University, said,” We have a bond with KPC Medical College.
Other things will be arranged soon.
“The meeting of a stakeholder can be held next week at Ju.
Lady Brabourne College’s authority has held a meeting next Monday to complete the stagger time to come out.
“We will reopen the Hostel with a power of 50%.
We are planning a physical class three days a week for lab-based subjects and three days for non-lab subjects,” said Siuli Sarkar, Principal.
Although the SOP has suggested the staggering entries, it has been submitted to the institution to decide the strength of students to be permitted in college.
Partha Pratim Ray, Secretary General, Million, said, “It will be difficult to stop students who want to attend physical classes.
If everything comes to offline classes, it is impossible to maintain physical distance.”
