Kolkata: a fire broke out in a popular restaurant in the southern part of Kolkata during rush hour on Saturday afternoon, police said.
There were no victims reported.
Three fire tenders were pressed into the service to extinguish the fire, which might start from the Mughla restaurant kitchen in the Mullickbazar area, a police officer said.
“The restaurant was almost full when the fire broke out.
There were situations like panic.
Some customers were assisted by restaurant employees to move, while others left themselves.
The fire was under control now,” he said.
The traffic movement around the restaurant was influenced by the incident when firefighters poured fire.
