Mumbai: Low pressure areas in Bengal Bay are likely to bring heavy rainfall in many parts of Maharashtra for the next three to four days, the Indian Meteorology Department said on Monday.
It also estimates moderate rain in Mumbai with the possibility of occasional intensity spells in places isolated in the next 24 hours.
Shubhangi Bhute, Deputy Director of the IMD, Mumbai said Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and the Conk Ada is expected to receive very heavy rainfall in places isolated in the next three days because of the low pressure area in Bay Bay.
IMD also issued a ‘yellow warning’, which showed “heavy rain in isolated places”, for Palghar, Thane, Raigad and Ratnagiri districts, all coastal, between August 16 and 18.
