Kolkata: Just like students, teachers in most schools have been at home for the past 18 months, taking online classes.
But now the state has announced the reopening of schools and colleges from November 16, teachers in most institutes have been told to return to campus and practice online teaching from there so that hybrid mode can slide smoothly.
The Cisce School which was reopened this week after the Puja vacation asked their teacher to come before Diwali and took an online class from the campus, while the CBSE school had asked them to come from November 8, when the Institute was open after Diwali.
The laboratory was being cleaned, “We will hold a meeting with the teachers, but we have told them all to be ready to return to campus from November 8, when we reopen,” Koeli Dey said, the principal of Sushila Birla.
School.
Lakshmipat Singhania Academy has also asked his teacher to return from November 8.
Wi-Fi connections in most schools are being upgraded so that the teacher takes online class from the place does not face errors.
They will sit in a large hall or classroom, from where they will do their class.
The school had told the teacher that when the campus did again, some children were expected to still attend online classes from home because their parents tended to give their approval to school.
“So, we have told our teachers that they have to take a hybrid class from schools regardless of some of the children who enter.
The teacher will begin to come to campus and get used to teaching from here,” said John Stephen, acting principal in LA Martiniere for boys.
Special routines will be designed for teachers and schedules of students will also be tweaked as a school plan to start with class IX and XI.
After these two classes settled a little and the hybrid system slid smoothly, class X and XII would be called.
“So we have to rearrange the teacher’s routine in such a way that those who care for annual annual students are not burdened with IX and XI.
The teacher must be used to overcoming students in class, writing on the board and at the same time, adjusting the laptop in such a way that they are at home Can be present correctly, “said Richard Gasper, Principal of St Augustine, Kolkata.
The principal and several heads of departments, who have visited school and die, provided transportation.
But schools have now explained that it is impossible to send vehicles for so many teachers and hence, they must make their own settings.
All teachers were also asked to confirm their vaccination status.
