Serampore: Two class XII students cross the train track resolved by train at Rishra on Friday night.
Kaustav Dasgupta died immediately while Riyan Rathi was swelled.
The two students came from Rathi’s residence in the Bangar Park area when the accident occurred.
GRP officials took Rathi to Walsh Sreavor’s hospital in critical condition, where he gave up on his injury.
The second body of students has been sent for autopsy.
Both students were busy on their cellphone each and failed to pay attention to the train.
By the time they saw the train coming from both sides, it was too late and they ran.
Locals accused that no ambulance is available.
“We have to look for Toto because GRP does not have an ambulance available,” said Rishra’s GRP in the cost of Arup Pal.
“This is a very unfortunate incident.
The two students were very promising.
Rathi was a good singer and appeared on stage.
It was a loss for all of us,” said Bijay Sagar Mishra, Administrator Rishra Municipality.
