Bengaluru: Maninder Singh captain and All-Rounder Mohammad Nabibakhsh helped defending champions Bengal warriors defeat Jaipur Pink Panthers 31-28 in a match fighting for the Pro Kabaddi League on Monday.
Maninder scored 13 points while Nabatakhsh took 10, including Super Tackle last minute, to help Bengal overcome the rigid challenges from Jaipur.
Arjun Deshwal is the only player for Pink Panthers, reaching for another Super 10 and finishing the game with 16 points.
But those who failed in the last attack of the match cost Jaipur the opportunity to win.
Bengal and Jaipur went to the match with the worst strike rates in the league and were not surprising to see the robbers dominate the early stages.
The Bengal Maninder Singh captain was in hot red with Mohammad Nabibakhsh supporting him.
The two won a consecutive multi-point attack in the sixth minute to get their Bengal first in the seventh minute and opened a 5-point lead.
At the other end, Arjun Deshwal is equally impressive in a pink jersey.
The point is important, especially in do-or-die attacks, ensuring Jaipur continues to come into contact with defense champions.
The second half was not much different for robbers because good Maninder Singh and Arjun Deshwal took their Super 10.
This is the Super Fifth Soup 10 Arjun Deshwal in as many matches as possible, but Jaipur failed to support him with Captain Deepak Hooda did not bring his a-game to the mattress.
But Pink Panthers kissed the chance when they were super handle Maninder Singh in the ninth minute.
It was followed by a yellow card for defender Abozar Mighani to argue with the referee.
But Bengal continues to produce an important tackle to stay in the lead.
Going to the last five minutes, they have a narrow 3-point tin, but Jaipur handles the maninder successfully to reduce the gap.
But Mohammad Nabibakhsh immediately produced an attack of 2 points.
A last-minute Tackle failed by fighters made it game 1 point, but Nabibakhsh, a Bengal hero in the 7-final season, produced an amazing super tackle in the final attack on Arjun Deshwal to win the match.
