Kolkata: Tally Covid-19 in West Bengal was installed until 15.12.129 on Sunday when 924 more people were tested positive for infection, while 13 new deaths encouraged the death toll to 17,916, the health department bulletin said.
The disposal level in the country rose to 97.83 percent with 1,314 more people recovered from illness since Saturday, he said.
West Bengal now has 14,901 active cases, while 14,79,312 people have so far healed from this disease.
The new four deaths were reported from Nadia Regency, each from Kolkata, 24 North Pargrading and Darjeeling while one person respectively surrendered to infection in Hooghly, Howrat and Jalpaiguri, he said.
24 North Parganas recorded the highest number of cases in 94, followed by Medinipur Purba in 87, Kolkata at 82 and Darjeeling at the age of 80, said Bulletin.
Overall, 1,47,69,734 samples were tested for Covid-19 so far, said Bulletin.
