Kolkata: Covid-19 victims in West Bengal rose to 18,229 on Sunday with 12 more people who surrendered to this disease with Nadia District noted the highest number of deaths for the second day in a row, said Bulletin Department of Health.
Coronavirus Caseload in the state rose to 15.33,803 as 675 people more tested positive infections, he said.
Debit rates in West Bengal rose to 98.13 percent with 763 more people recovering from this disease, taking the total recovery to 15.05,089, the bulletin stated.
The number of active cases fell to 10,485 from 10,585 on Saturday.
Of the 12 deaths listed on Sunday, the Nadia district recorded the highest in four.
Five people gave up on disease there the previous day, said Bulletin.
Three people died in 24 North Pargana, while one death was recorded in Kolkata, Hooghly, Purba Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, and Darjeeling, he said.
North Korea 24 parganas recorded the number of new cases in 77, followed by Darjeeling at the age of 69, said Bulletin.
Kolkata recording 68 cases, Nadia 63 and Jalpaiiguri 60 new cases, he said.
As many as 1,60,92,192 samples have been tested in West Bengal so far, said Bulletin.
