Bengalureans set a realistic goal of this new year

Bengaluru: A popular question with the wish ‘happy new year’ is: “What is your resolution this year?” This might soon fade to be forgotten because more young people throw out the trend of resolution settings and aim for a stable and practical mental approach to starting the year.
For example, Sandeep Raja, software developers, said under the current situation, the most common for someone to stay alive and still sane.
“I think the resolution will not make sense because our mental capacity has been overloaded because of the pandemic.
We must prioritize mental health and remain safe.
If we make it through another year, it is a big achievement in itself,” he said.
Mohamed Zeeshan, a policy analyst and foreign columnist, believes the new year resolution does not work because it reaches or does something no need to wait for changes in the calendar.
“If someone will do these things, they have started doing it,” he said.
Parsa, a teacher, said the disappointment with the tradition of the New Year’s resolution was the result of awareness among young people who were self-care and practical objectives settings better than fighting for perfectionism.
“People have set new resolutions forever and they almost always give up in one or two weeks.
The only beneficial person is a fitness center that sells long-term membership,” he said.
“People now understand that changes do not occur in overnight.
So they don’t aim too high to increase failure.
When people start better for themselves, they will not need January 1 to be their redemption day.” Keramalu Karthik, a.
The author, said there was too much pressure on NY resolution.
“Some great people come with a list of things to do.
But I don’t.
I took what I wanted along the way and waste habits and rituals that were useless when I did it.
I can’t wait for a certain opportunity to set myself at me at The road I want to walk.
And with uncertainty of stretching pandemics longer than usual, I feel there is no point in putting a goal on paper.
That said, we need to motivate ourselves and if the resolution is light at the end of the tunnel, so it’s good, “he said.
