Bengaluru: BJP activist on a bicycle falls into a ditch, dead

Bengaluru: A 50-year-old farmer and BJP activist was killed after him and the motorbike he was riding to fall into Pit Gali to eliminate trees for road widening projects in Submangala Village near aneccant on Tuesday night.
Madesh, a resident of Submangala, returned home after visiting his daughter in the nearest village when the accident occurred on Jalan Anekal-Hosur at 10:30 a.m.
Madesh did not wear a helmet.
He failed to pay attention to the hole and fell into it.
He suffered a severe injury throughout his body.
Petualsby watched him and rushed to bring him to the nearest hospital, where he gave up at midnight.
Police said the road widening project was being carried out by the Department of Public Works.
The contractor has obtained permission from the Forestry Department to remove roadside trees to complete the project.
But the workers trimmed several trees with no wise and left the tree stump for months without cleaning it.
“At the crash site, the workers had dug holes a month ago around the tree to translate it to another place.
They have left an open hole and did not install a warning sign.
The incident occurred due to negligence of racers and PWD officials and contractors.
So, us has registered a case against PWD Contractors and Officials, “said a police officer.
