Bengaluru can lose an e-game company on a ban

New Delhi: The gaming industry plans to legally challenge the decision of the Karnataka Assembly to ban online games, and steps of the state government tend to see the company move operations from Tech Bangalore City – seen as the best development center – to other IT cities like that as Hyderabad , Pune, Noida and Gurgaon.
Moving by Karnataka has come as a surprise, especially because Bangalore is always seen as the focal point of IT Skills India, innovation with the abundance of the latest labor.
The prohibition in Karnataka, which some people say the house of nearly 100 gaming companies, is a body blows for the game industry which is still in growth in India.
This industry was even more surprised when the move came after weeks after Tamil Nadu HC had hit the state government’s decision to ban online games.
The main concern from various governments regarding gaming comes through concerns that it promotes gambling, although there are various assessments in the past – including in SC – which have approved the ‘skill-based gaming’ against ‘opportunity-based’ against ‘playing.
“The more sad that this decision was taken by Karnataka, which until now is the capital of Indian Startup and Technology,” Diner Vashisht, Head of Corporate Affairs at 24×7 Games, to TII.
The Indian Internet and Cellular Association (Iaamai) said that the bill to ban games was designed “without considering various legal and constitutional positions”.
The Indian fantasy sports federation (FIP) said the move “seemed to be one direction”.
