Bengaluru: cutting hit power working from home, online class

Bengaluru: While Bengalureans feel comfortable with work from home (WFH) and online class arrangements, frequent power cuts have disrupted the schedule of residents of Sahakarnagar in North Bengaluru.
Satyen Kamat, a resident of defense colony in Sahakarnagar said, “We have faced this problem for more than three months now.
Power goes at 10 am and just returns at 7pm.
Up reserves don’t last long.” Bescom inconsistency revoked the schedule of children – Children and adults because most of the meetings, classes and exams were placed in the first half of the day.
Not only students are difficult; Even teachers in the area fight against the same problem.
Mitha Srinivas, a teacher who lives in the CQA layout, said, “I feel very difficult to manage online classes with this power cut.
Every time we call Bescom, we are told the wire has snapped or the pole has fallen into a place.” He added: “I know that they are working on the installation of cables underground, but they must understand that because most workers work and learn from home, long power outages are not feasible.
Moreover, how does it work for months?” Residents have flooded Helpline Bescom (1912) with a call.
“All calls were answered, and the Helpline staff was very polite and polite, but it did not bring us relief,” another resident said.
Suhas B, also a resident of the CQA layout, said: “With work from home, this has become a little concern for the population here.
My father made several oral complaints, but in vain.
Long power cuts last longer than our UPS.” Supply Will be smooth starting October: Bescomwetika contacted, Bescom Assistant Engineer (Sahakarnagar), Phanindhra N, said, “We have taken a job to change the old network and install new underground networks.
The work is happening in the phase.
We convince residents that after this new network There is, they will not face difficulties like that.
They may still have a power outage for the next two weeks, but from October things must function smoothly.
