Bengaluru: The attached to Yeshwantpur police station suffered an injury to his left elbow after being accused of the Dacoity case stabbing him on Wednesday night.
Cop was injured, Vinod Rathod, had been hospitalized.
Yeshwantpur police are investigating the Dacoity case reported on November 29.
Gang criminals posed as BBMP health staff and robbed two women from 50 grams of gold ornaments in their homes in the SBM colony, Yeshwantpur, around noon.
The police initially thought it was a dacoity carried out by two criminals.
But their investigation revealed that a group of eight had committed a violation.
The police arrested three suspects a few days ago.
They learned that Sagar (name changed), which has five cases of robbery against him, is also a gang member.
When receiving information about the presence of Sagar near Agriculture between Bhoopasandra and Hebbal, Rathod rushed to a place with two policemen.
There was a fight and pursuit, and when Rathod would arrest him, Sagar stabbed him and fled.
Rathod said because of danger.
