Bengaluru: Dirty water enters the house

Dirty water entered the house and apartment around the national games village on Sunday after the walls of the Koramangala and the Challaghatta Valley Draform Stormwater was damaged for maintenance work
The small gap between the Koramangala retaining wall and the Challaghatta Valley Stormwater Valley gave a big shock for many residents of Ejipura and Koramangala when they left several residential areas flooded with Sunday night.
That’s the negligence of the authority that the rainwater should flow into Lake Bellandur, spurred from the flood house and complex apartments.
Places with floods are now filled with mud, mud and waste.

Some very affected places were residents of the National Games Village (NGV), Road Koramangala 80 feet and families living inside and around Ejipura signals.
While water flows out on Sunday night, many struggle to eliminate the mud layers that have covered the area.
This is the second event such as the gap between the retaining walls has produced flooding.
A similar incident had occurred on the bed near Ejipura a few years ago.
“A lot of stormwater disposal work is currently ongoing.
It’s not the time to cut the wall.
The engineers have a full year to complete desilting and maintenance work,” said Muralidhar Rao, a resident of Koramangala.
About 49 mm rain is reported in just one hour.
We now store sandbags and increase heights.
We will rebuild tomorrow – a senior official BWSSB
Many residents living in the village of National Games could not get out of their homes on Monday morning.
Parking lots and places of apartments are filled with mud.
“Too bad at the residential area flooded with rain and mud from the ditch.
At least four blocks are affected by dirty water and the whole place is in two feet.
The car is affected.
BWSSB does nothing to clean the area,” Rahul Aulak, a resident of Ngv ,
The Civic body blames the water supply and board of sewerage bengaluru (BWSSB) to fall apart.
“We have built enough concrete retaining walls to overcome 50 to 75 mm rainfall.
The BWSSB engineers have violated the part of the wall to do maintenance work a week ago.
This is not brought to our notification.
We have filed a police complaint,” BS said Prahlad, Chief Engineer (Drain Stormwater) on BBMP.
Complaints have been submitted at the Koramangala Police Station against BWSSB engineers.
Residents complain, their parking lot and the apartment are filled with mud
BWSSB officials said that they did not expect intense rainfall.
“About 49 mm of rain is reported in just an hour.
We now store sandbags and increase heights.
We will rebuild the wall tomorrow,” said a senior official BWSSB.
“Our engineer is in place all night.
We have apologized to residents.
This won’t happen again.”
BTM Mla Ramalinga Reddy said the work was taken after order from the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
“BWSSB has finished the pipe putting to stop the waste flowing into the drain between Kr Puram and Ejipura.
The pipe journey from Sony World to NGV is almost finished,” he said.
