Bengaluru: A 40-year-old housemaid was arrested by police JB Nagar recently for allegedly stealing gold worth Rs 5 lakh from his employer’s residence.
The woman claims she committed a violation to regulate money for her brother’s care.
Accused of Ruchitha Jadhav joined the Trupti Residence Mithun Chikhalikhar as the first week’s housemaid.
Trupthi approached JB Nagar police on July 20, and filed a case of theft under the provision of IPC part 381 against Ruchitha.
Trupti told the police that he gave birth to a girl on May 24 and rented Ruchitha as a housemaid.
Ruchitha is used to treat trupthi and her daughter.
Trupti recently noticed that the gold ornaments were lost and Ruchitha also remained absent for the past few days.
Police JB Nagar arrested Ruchitha and restored gold ornaments from him.
He told the police that his brother had health complications and he stole jewelry to regulate money for his treatment.
Further probe is active.
