Bengaluru: With a driver in Bengaluru so it’s increasingly difficult to secure a slot to get a learning (LL) or SIM (DL), the condition is mature for density in the regional transportation office (RTOS).
This is mainly because the center is not possible to extend the validity of documents such as DLS and RC permits exceed 31 October.
In many RTOS, the waiting period is to get LL and update DL more than a month.
DL applicants who failed in the driving test in previous efforts, had to wait more than a month to get a slot.
The State One rules must get regular DL within six months after LL.
The state transportation department also appears to take online services.
In March this year, the Union Ministry of Road Transport (MORTH) has issued a notification of 1 transportation services that can be secured without a visit to RTO.
This includes LLS and DL updates.
However, despite the lack of slots, the State Department of Transportation has not yet launched a service without contact based on Aadhaar authentication in the state.
“There is a big demand from people, especially from women after a hit pandemic, for DLS but all the slots are ordered,” said the school owner driving in East Bengaluru.
“We cannot teach people to drive on the road without them cleaning LL.
Most states have made the process without contact, but Karnataka hasn’t done so.” Those who managed to get slots were blocked by technical disturbances in the Portal Sarathi and Vahan.
Many applicants cannot make payments because of this disorder.
There are also several complaints of Couts Hogging slots under fake names and selling them to people with premiums.
Kasturi Nagar Resident S Kamath, who wants to get DL, said: “There is no online slot, but we can get it if we approach RTOS brokers.” J Purushhotham, an additional commissioner for transportation (environment and e-governance), said: “His request is high, so the slot is not available.
Each RTO provides a slot on request.
We work to launch services without contact in the state.” Because RTO is closed during locking And to prevent the crowd after they reopened, Morth has been, in a series of decisions, expanding the validity of motorized vehicle documents from February last year until 31 October 2021.
There are no more extensions? But now, the center is not possible to further extend the validity of documents such as DL updates, RCS and permits outside October 31.
At present, the 11 RTO office in Bengaluru is inadequate to meet demand.
In 2013, the Department of Transportation decided to open four RTOS again – in Banashankari, Chamarajpet, RT Nagar and Marathahalli – but the move remained on paper.
“The government must increase the number of RTO or provide more slots on existing ones.
The lack of slots and RTOS will lead to density and increase waiting time for applicants,” said Manjunath S, a vehicle owner.
