Bengaluru: Two Bike-Borne Chain-Snatchers attacked in five places in a large area that stretched from aneccant on the southeast suburb of Bengaluru to Devanahalli in North on Wednesday morning.
In addition to checking vehicles at checkpoints throughout the city for two criminals who followed a Bajaj Pulsar, all circle inspectors were assigned to inspect hotels and lodges in their jurisdictions.
“The Circle Inspector leads the operation in their respective regions on Wednesday night,” said Kona Vamshi Krishna, police supervisor (Bengaluru District).
The duo was hit first at 8:30 a.m.
and continued with the Spree which grabbed the chain until 11:30 a.m.
They grabbed five chains in three hours.
Previously on Tuesday night, they were surprising in Hebbagodi.
In five of the six incidents, the Duo committed a crime with the pretext of finding an address.
They use the same bicycle to commit violations.
They first target a 70-year-old woman, Venkatasma, in the village of Hosokalli near Anugondanahalli.
They arrived in Haralam Village near Hoskote at 9:30 a.m.
and grabbed the 57-year-old Cantamma chain.
At 10:45 a.m., they went to Dodda Aralagere Village near Sulibele and targeted Roopa, 26, after that they headed for Channarayapattana.
The duo reached Mallepura Village at 10:55 a.m.
and won the Mamata chain, 28.
Their last target was a 50-year-old woman, Seni, in Mandur Village.
Anugondanahalli, Hoskote, Sulibele, Channarayapattana and Police Avalahalli have taken separate cases.
