Bengaluru: Minister of Housecon Karnataka Araga Jnanendra on Friday directing the traffic police to comply with the rules of pulling while lifting the vehicle from no parking area in the city, giving “no room” for any complaints from public harassment.
The minister today held a meeting with the City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant and additional police commissioners (traffic) Ravikanthe Gowda, and held a discussion.
“Traffic police must remind vehicle owners by blowing sirens and only collecting the amount of costs prescribed to park the vehicle in the parking area, if the owner is present at the place before lifting the vehicle”, Jnanendra was quoted as saying by his office in the release.
He said the towing staff should not be involved in any argument with the public during their duty and treat them politely.
The Minister also directs that all treatments must be taken not to cause damage to the vehicle during the pull, the release is added.
