A total of 78 apartments and 71 independent buildings in the city have been sealed by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanaagara Palike (BBMP) because they are converted into micro detention zones.
With more than three cases in each of these areas, there are 156 active detention zones in Bengaluru with Mahadevapura who have 42 highs, followed by Bommanahalli 31, East 34, Yelahanka 17, South 16, RR Nagar Nine, Five Western and Dasarahalli.
Strangely, school, four hostels have also been stated by the micro detention zone.
About 5,805 houses have been under the parameters of the detention zone where intensive supervision activities are being carried out.
Meanwhile, Karnataka reported 1,785 fresh cases on Thursday, thus took the total Covid case in the state to 29.13 lakh.
Bengaluru led with 414 cases in the state followed by Dakshina Kannada with 337 cases.
25 people including five in Bengaluru died of Covid on Thursday.
Merchant warns
Commissioner of the Head of the LMA Gaurav Gupta told reporters that Covid cases in the city were in the range of 400 to 500 and although the number did not increase significantly, people should not disappoint.
