BENGALURU: Not many fungal diseases in patients who have recovered in Covid are caused by mucormycosisa hospital has discovered.
Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans are also one of other fungi which are infecting patients.

“We’re actually seeing more instances of other fungal illnesses.
Covid-19 acute disease is restricting the immune response to fungal diseases,” he explained.
Based on Dr Ambika R, professor and HOD, division of microbiology in Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI), Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans could be contaminants also.
“If just Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans has been grown in exactly the identical individual 2-3 days, then we could predict them a pathogen.
Occasionally Candida may also increase from the horn sample of the individual, without the individual being infected.
Thus far, in many of the tests we’ve conducted, we’ve observed mucormycosis just.
