Bengaluru: Smart City Work Drags On

Bengaluru: Civil work on Jalan Avenue which began under Bengaluru Smart City Limited in January has missed several deadlines and traders from desperate shopping centers for a boring return during other celebration season.
The work was originally supposed to be wrapped in June.
Because he failed to finish it in six months, the former Chief Engineer for Bengaluru Smart City Limited said it would end in mid-August.
After BSCl came down from the August deadline, the executive director of Rajendra Cholan told the work to be finished in the first week of September.
Even though the year will end, his work is far from settlement.
Sajjan Raj Mehta, a trade activist from Avenue Road, said, “It is December and the other festival season slips.
The state of the road is miserable with debris and waste everywhere, making it difficult for buyers.
India is a festival country.
Every month at least There is one festival and if the Civic Agency takes one year to complete a project that they must complete in six months, how do traders get their bread? “The traders are convinced of work will be completed in six months before the rainy season in and hence, they won’t be much feel comfortable.
“Residents, traders and activists raised this problem several times that the main reason for delay in the completion of work is a lack of coordination between civil institutions.
If the agent still has not learned to coordinate and work with each other, what will happen in this city?” Mehta regret.
Traders show that the state of Avenue also has an impact on the market like Tharagupet and Mamulpete around it.
Uttam M Jain, the owner of the sugar at Avenue Road said, “We have reached Cholan.
Every time he assures us that he will look at him and have finished earlier, but we don’t see progress on the ground.
The road has finished but the sidewalk is still messy.
Buyers feel very difficult to access the shop, especially with all the waste overflow to the road.
“Traders worried that work will be expanded longer and fear they might not see an increase in walks during the upcoming festivals of Sankranti, Mahashivaratri and Holi.
Mehta added: “At this point there must be government intervention and contractors and responsible officials must be punished due to the delay and discomfort caused by the public.” Prakash Pirgal, President of the Bangalore wholesale cloth association, said, “We recently found some mistakes about the water channel.
They are being repaired.
If that’s the problem, we, the traders and most importantly, citizens carry their error burden.
“‘The work that happened at night’ Aee was worried about BSCL, Chandrashekhar Mr, said,” The job is mostly being done at night because of the solid population on the road during working hours.
They provide a drainage connection to the road crossing and some small Rekhsian Regarding the same thing made.
However, mostly delayed work is related to the sidewalk and installation of lights.
We tried our best to solve it in January-end or early February.
