Bengaluru: Some taxi unions to protest e-bicycles today

Bengaluru: The government’s decision to allow electric bicycle taxis in the city has not dropped well with many car drivers and taxis.
The work of the union will protest in front of the office of the Department of Transportation starting at 11am on Thursday.
“Motor vehicle laws have no provisions for two-wheeled taxi / bicycles but our government has given permission to trigger a taxi that supports private companies.
It will damage the car business and taxis because the driver has faced the financial crisis because the pandemics and income are reduced,” said Pasha Tanveer, founder of the union taxi-based taxi.
“We will also send letters to the Transportation Commissioner on this.
If not withdrawn, we will do unlimited car and taxi strikes,” Pasha added.
He said the taxi aggregator had violated the rules but there was no action taken against them even though there were several complaints.
The trade Union Namma Chalakara has begun sending a postcard to the Minister of Chief, Minister of Transportation and others opposed the Ebike taxi service.
