Bengaluru: A 48-year-old woman drove a pendant on a dead bike after a pick-up truck running on a vehicle near the Anjanapura bus stop at Magadi Main Road, on Sunday morning.
Police have identified the deceased such as Sharmila, a resident of Pattegarapalya in West Bengaluru and a teacher with a private school.
Her husband Prakash suffered a minor injury in the accident.
Police Byadarahalli has registered a case against the driver of the Madesha pick-up truck, 38, and arrested him on charges of causing death from negligence.
Son Sharmila, Prajwala P is a complainant.
Police said poor road conditions such as citizenship agents were digging to the pipe.
Prakash and Sharmila headed to Madanahatahalli to visit relatives.
The duo reached near the Anjanapura bus stop at around 10:45 a.m.

Prakash lost control and fell to the left side of the road, while Sharmila fell to the right.
He came under the left front wheel of the truck and died on the spot.
Madesha told the police that he was not about the bicycle and that the woman fell on the road, while her husband tried to avoid the hole.
However, he could not stop the truck.
“We have taken cases of criminal negligence against Madesha based on complaints submitted by the Prajwal.
We will begin the necessary actions of civilian institutions if it is proven that the hole caused by the accident,” said an investigative officer.
