Bengaluru tops in the covid front level among children

Bengaluru: The covid-19 testing level is at an altitude of 9.5% in children aged 0-9 years in Bengaluru, more than three times the average state of 2.9%, according to the analysis by the State Welfare Department and family welfare , Sunitha Rao R.
District Report Shivamogga stood second with a 6.4% lifespan among children from this age group.
At 5.5%, Bengaluru is at the level of participants of the test among children in the age group 9-19 as well.
According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 9.7 Lakh tests were carried out from January 4 to 10, around 50,783 became positive for Covid.
Among them, the test level of testing was 2.9% among children from the age group of 0-9 years and 2.4% in the age group of 9-19 years.
In Udupi, a positive rate of 3.2% was observed in the age group 9-19, followed by Mandya at 3%.
“For each size such as the closing of the school in the district, the level of the testing of the test between children needs to be considered and not the overall test level in the district,” said a health worker.
The problem was discussed at the meeting held with CM on Tuesday.
Decisions about the closing of the school must be based on the level of prospitis, the number of absolute cases and trends to increase groups among educational institutions, said D Randeep, Commissioner, Department of Health and Family Welfare.
The majority of pediatric cases are light.
“In most cases, we see the whole family having symptoms and we told them to be tested.
Most parents do not test their children.
We tell them the warning signs that they should not ignore,” said Dr.
Shivaprakash Sosale, member Executive Board, Karnataka, Indian Pediatric Academy.
Twelve children have been treated at the Indian Child Health Institute of Indira Gandhi – now dedicated to pediatric cases – in the past week.
“They are moderate cases, do not require ventilators.
We dedicate one block to covid and 100 beds.
None of the patients currently has a severe form of illness,” said Dr.
KS Sanjay, Director of the Hospital.
At Bowring Hospital and Lady Curzon, three cases of children suspected by Omicron were treated.
They have since recovered, the doctor said.
