Bengaluru: VAX’s shortcomings left a lot disappointed

Bengaluru: Wednesday saw a snake queue in front of vaccination sites throughout the city, with many disappointed after they could not get Jab.
While the official source confirmed there was a lack of vaccines, inoculation numbers in the city fluctuated many for the past four days.
The Ministry of Health said the daily vaccination number within the boundary of the BBMP has been dipped since Friday.
While Friday recorded more than 1.11 lakh Jabs, Tuesday saw 65,654 vaccination and 75,858 on Wednesday.
Around Wednesday afternoon, two public health centers in Kengeri saw people who were again disappointed because health officials prioritized students and those who had earlier registration through the Cowin application.
Many were asked to return on Thursday to try their luck.
This is the case for the first and second-dose seekers in these locations.
Meanwhile, vaccination sites in Vasanthnagar, Shivajinagar and Malleswaram saw a long queue of people with some failed to get shots.
KC General Hospital in Malleswaram saw a large crowd, including middle-aged people, who hoped to get Jab but returned so the board ‘no vaccine’.
Although not too many people on several sites in East Bangalore with vaccines available for people over 45 years and frontline workers, special parties by private parties throughout the city buzzing with activities.
This includes a drive at the Mall forum in Koramangala for those who are physically challenged.
Although the BBMP health staff on the ground admitted a little short of vaccines in Bengaluru which resulted in a long queue, senior officers were not available to comment.
