Bennett Israel, Putin Speak Russia, agreed to meet

Tel Aviv: Israeli New Prime Minister speaks for the first time with his colleague Russia on Monday and both agreed to meet immediately, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett tweeted.
Bennett’s office said he was grateful to Vladimir Putin for Russian contributions to stability in the region and that the two talked about the bridge between the two countries represented by Russian immigrants to Israel.
More than 1 million Jews from the former Soviet Union have moved to Israel for the past three decades.
Russian mediator earlier this year helped secure the release of an Israeli woman who entered Syria in exchange for two Syrians held by Israel.
Bennett said he was grateful to Putin for “help about prisoners and missing problems.” This was the first time both of them spoke because Bennett served last month at the Head of the Israeli new coalition government.
After two years, Bennett would put aside while the Foreign Minister, Yair Lapid, spun to the Premiership.
