Aurangabad: Police beed has arrested a 28-year-old man with allegations of killing his old mother on Friday night.
The police said the defendant was in a drunk condition when he allegedly hit his mother with wood.
Prayagbai Mangire (70) from Chausala, was found dead on Saturday morning.
Based on complaints submitted by Pandurang, Prayagam’s husband, Neknoor police ordered and arrested their son.
The police said the defendant, who was a sugarcane cutter, returned home on Friday night in a drunk condition and began a fight with his mother who was not a problem.
He even blamed him because he did not give him a food on time.
Laxman Police Inspector Assistant told Tii, “the elderly woman blamed the addiction to her son’s liquor as a reason for all friction at home, when the defendant became hard and hit his head with wood.” The woman fell unconscious.
The family assumed that he fell asleep.
However, on Saturday morning, when her husband tried to wake him up, he didn’t move.
He was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
Pandurang goes to the Neknoor police station, follows Yang, Kendre to follow the defendant and arrest him near the highway.
The accusation admitted that he headed to his in-laws’ place to hide.
Quoting the findings of an autopsy report, the police said the old woman died of brain bleeding after being hit by wood wood.
