CHENNAI: Chennai city police commissioner Shankar Jiwal seen Covid care centers at Anna University and police barracks at Egmore sporting a PPE kit and asked about the sufferers’ wellbeing and desired for their rapid recovery.
The Covid care facility at Anna University includes 360 bedrooms and accommodates policemen, their household and other frontline employees.
As many as 48 authorities employees, two ministerial employees, and also 32 relatives of those police employees are undergoing therapy at the AU Covid maintenance centre.
The officer met all of the 82 patients and passed food and fruits baskets into them by keeping social distancing.
Thus far, at 1,055 authorities employees, ministerial employees, along with their relatives have experienced therapy at the Covid care center in Anna University.
Police officers such as the Mylapore deputy commissioner of police (DCP) ET Samson, deputy commissioner of police of fundamental crime division (CCB) V Balasubramanian along with other officials followed Jiwal.
From the older commissioner’s office at Egmore, a construction containing police barracks was modified to a Covid care center to the police staff.
