SRINAGAR: Among their most wanted terrorists Mudasir Pandit was just one of three terrorists killed in an embarrassing experience with security forces in Sopore area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Monday.
Kashmir Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that the experience took place in Gund Brath region of Sopore from the north Kashmir district.
The experience had began late on Sunday night because the security forces established a cordon and search operation in the region after information regarding presence of three or more terrorists, such as Pandit, at the region.
“Best LeT #terrorist Mudasir Pandit who had been included in #killing of 03 policemen, 02 councillors & 02 civilians lately and other many #terror offenses obtained murdered in Sopore #encounter,” that the IGP tweeted.
Pandit was desired by security forces oftentimes, including the killing of two BJP councillors along with a policeman in a meeting in Sopore during March this year.
