Gurugram / Noida: Farmers in Haryana and climb the streets on Monday and observe the “betrayal day”, accuse the center of not fulfilling all the promises made for them when they raised agitation throughout the year in December last year.
Responding to the call by Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), the farmers took a parade, held a protest sitting, and handed over the notes aimed at the Prime Minister for each deputy commissioner.
Farmers wanted cases registered with them during agitation throughout the year, the families of protesters who died in the last two years compensated and a law that guarantees MSP (minimum support price) to be formulated.
Rakesh Tikait, the leader of the farmer who led the annual protest against the central agriculture law at the gate, one of the three main hubs agitation, asked farmers to be prepared for “long struggles”.
“By betraying the country farmers, the government has rubbed salt into their wounds.
With this betrayal, it is clear that the state farmers must be prepared for a long struggle,” National Spokesman for Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) tweeted in Hindi.
“This is a betrayal for farmers that the cases submitted during protests have not been withdrawn, the martyrs have not been given compensation, there is no word on electricity bills, there is no resolution for the notification of central agencies and cases.
The center must respond to this,” said Tikait in Tweet other.
In places like SANSA, a group of farmers came out on the tractor and began making preparations to launch Singhu-style protests sitting.
In Gurgaon, farmers issued a parade along with hundreds of workers who had protested other wages and demands for more than 50 days now.
In Noida, the farmers who protested gave government time until February 2 to fulfill their promises, by saying they would renew their agitation instead.
They also called for polls boycotts not only above, but also countries ruled by BJP.
Naresh Tikait, Rakesh’s brother who headed BKU, one of the SKM constituents, said the farmers protested in all Tehsils of Uttar Pradesh.
