Chandrapur: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Sleuth from Nagpur Arrested by Bhadrawati Tehsildar Nilesh Khatke (36) while taking RS25,000 bribes on Saturday afternoon.
Tehsildar Khatke who was accused of searching for bribes to give permission to dig red land for brick kilns.
The owner of the burning of bricks formally applied at the Bhadrawati Tehsil office, look for permission to excavate and transport the red land needed to make bricks.
Khatke held back permission and looked for RS25,000 bribery to provide a license for the excavation and transportation of the land.
The owner of the kiln seemed to agree to pay for bribes, but filed a complaint with ACB Nagpur.
The Deputy Supervisor of the Yogita Chafle police confirmed that Tehsildar Khatke did make a bribery request and then put a trap at the Tehsil office on Saturday.
The complainant is sent to meet Tehsildar with a number of bribes.
Khatke looked for bribes before the witness and took RS25,000 from the complainant.
As soon as the bribe was handed over, the team that lurked ACB Nagpur captured Khatke with bribes.
Khatke took control of the Bhadrawati Tehsil office just two months ago.
