Bhagalpur: With the aim of providing emergency health care for emergency resuscitation, surgery, intensive care and other medical facilities to patients who suffer serious injuries, conscious hospitals here try to establish ‘trauma center’.
This will be from Level-III, to be equipped and managed to provide emergency medicare to patients suffering from various traumatic injuries, including accidents and vehicle collisions.
Bhagalpur Civil Surgeon (CS) Dr.
Umesh Sharma, when contacted, the word effort was in and the trauma center in conscious Hospital would begin to function immediately.
He said the steps were taken to add medical infrastructure in addition to the capacity building for the trauma center.
“We will need three orthopedic surgeons, trained medical experts in caring for patients with medical emergencies, anesthesia, operating theater assistants and nursing staff and paramedics for 24-hour monitoring patients suffering from a traumatic injury.
We will also need a bed of oxygen, Advanced ambulance services, blood from different groups, Dr.
Sharma said and added that the trauma center would be level-III to provide initial evaluation and stabilization (surgical, if needed) for trauma patients.
