Kollam: Kerala Bhagerathi Amma’s oldest learner, who passed the literacy exam at the age of 105 years ago and won praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi, died here, said family source.

The KSLM source here said because of his elderly, Bhagerathi Amma had difficulty writing the examination and took three days to complete three questions about the environment, mathematics and Malayalam.

Bhagetathi Amma has quit formal education in third grade at the age of 9 years.
His passion for studies has won awards from nothing but Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
While telling the story of Bhagirathi Amma, Modi told the radio address last year, “If we want to advance in life, we must develop themselves, if we want to achieve something in life, the first condition for that students in us should not die.
”
He left without fulfilling the dream of passing the 10th standard equality exam, the word family said.
Bhagerathi Amma has 12 grand great and great-grandchildren.
One of his six children and three of the 15 grandchildren no longer, they added.
