Gangtok: Head of Hamro Sikkim Party (HSP) Bhaichung Bhutia hit Minister of Prem Singh Tamang because it did not raise the licenses of the inner permission (ILP) with the center during his visit to New Delhi.
Bhutia, national football icon, said most of the northeastern state with international borders have an ILP in place and sikkim must also have it.
“It is unfortunate that CM we did not think of raising a demand for the introduction of inner lines (ILP) in Sikkim,” he said on Thursday.
Conversely, the main minister gives a green signal to the center to weaken the provisions of Article 371F, which protects the rights of Sikkim people, Bhutia claims.
The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) government has permitted the “solution” of Article 371F and number 1 income sequence, he claims without explaining it.
Bhutia said the main minister had to make all the memorandums and demands submitted to the center during his visit to New Delhi’s public when the Sikkim people had details.
Furthermore, he said the state government should urge the center to reconsider the introduction of ‘one nation, one ration card in Sikkim as an outside settlers may take advantageous benefits from the scheme even the same difficulty with rations outside the country.
