Sanjay Leela Bhansali will recreate Lahore from the pre-partition era at the film city studio in Mumbai for his upcoming show ‘Heeramandi’.
Bhansali is in the last stage of casting and plans to shoot shows from November.
The new web series SLB will also see Manha Koirala working with directors after 25 years.
Mana Koirala will be one of the main direction in the period web series.
Both of them worked together in ‘Khamoshi’ in 1996, which was a highly valued film.
Other names that did the round for this event were Aditi Rao Hydari and Sonakshi Sinha.
This story is located in Lahore and tells us the story of three generations of Tawarif (Courtesans).

This event will have Chakraborty Subrat who is the art director of ‘Padmaavat’ who will design a set for ‘Heeramandi’ too.
SLB has planned to make this a film in the past and reportedly presented Priyanka Chopra to play the main instructions, which he bears by citing a date problem.
Some other names that speculate to display in this project are Madhuri Dixit, Rekha, Taboo and Shabana Azmi as well.
