Bharat Bandh will delay economic recovery: K’taka cm

Hubballi / MySuru: The Chairman of the Minister of Bumavaraj Bommai on Saturday appealed to farmers and left the organization not to support Bandh Bharat on Monday because it would hamper the government’s efforts towards the economic recovery of the Pandemi crisis.
“Life has just returned to normal in the state after being influenced by the second wave of Covid-19.
It is not the time to hold the bandh when people suffer from Covid.
This will only delay economic recovery,” said Bommai.
Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), the umbrella body of more than 40 farm unions led farmer agitation of the three central agriculture laws, has called for national attacks on September 27, the day of their ongoing protest was over 10 months.
This is the second bandh call that is given by SKM against the implementation of the trade and trade laws (promotion and facilitation of farmers), 2020; Empowerment and Protection of Farmers) Agreements on Guarantee of Price and Agricultural Services Act 2020 and Essential Commodities (Amendment) of Law, 2020.
The farmer organization, trade unions affiliated with various left parties and Dalit organizations participate in bandh.
Only emergency services such as ambulances and milk supply, medical services will be spared.
Previously on that day, several organizations in Mysore made appeal to seek support from the public for bandh calls even as representatives of several business communities, including hotel owners, opposed it.
“We are still struggling to get out of the Covid impact.
We do not have a business for more than seven months.
This bandh call will affect us more.
We work with farmers by buying vegetables, milk, etc.
We will not provide support to this bandh, “Said C Narayana Gowda, President of the Association of Mysuru District.
“This will affect thousands of families.
So, we only expand external support for Bandh, ” said BS Prashant, Chair, Mysuru Organization Federation.
