JAIPUR: Bharatpur MP Ranjeeta Koli’s automobile was assaulted by unknown miscreants when she had been coming from Weir tehsil at Bharatpur late on Thursday.
The miscreants pelted stones in her vehicle, after that she was rushed to a hospital.
Koli was going back into Bayana at Bharatpur after scrutinizing a PHC at Weir.
The assault has triggered an angry response from BJP leaders, including former CM Vasundhara Raje, that predicted the law and order scenario’jungle raj’.
Union minister Arjun Lal Meghwal held a media conference to emphasize the event.
The incident occurred at 11: 55pm about Halena Wier-Hatra Road following five miscreants standing around the street tried to halt the vehicle.
“The driver felt issue and drove quickly to skip them instantly.
The accused were carrying iron batons and rocks.
Then they pelted stones in the vehicle.
1 stone crashed to the vehicle from behind although nobody had been hurt.
The motorist drove the vehicle to Gharsoni village,” explained the authorities.
Three individuals were within the automobile –Koli, gunman Lokesh and motorist Santosh.
The gunman advised the local authorities which instantly rushed to offer safety cover.
Koli was brought to the RMB hospital at Bharatpur and following first-aid, she had been discharged.
Devendra Bishnoi, SP Bharatpur, stated they are focusing on significant leads and will detain the accused.
“Nothing could be said at the time,” explained Bishnoi.
Bishnoi told TOI that he’s ordered an inquiry into the lapse in MPs safety.
“The situation has been investigated by a senior police officer.
I’ve seen the area with the motorist to re-enact the spectacle however, the motorist has failed to recognize the specific place.
We’ve advised him to consider the spot that can help us in drawing on a path,” explained Bishnoi.
Raje at a tweet stated,”The state authorities must arrest the offenders and provide them harshest of punishments to revive faith among those people.
I’d love to remind Congress which we’ve given over a calm Rajasthan, you’re making it a condition of the offenders.
We won’t allow this to happen.
