Thane: The police have arrested a man in Bhiwandi in the Thane Maharashtra district for allegedly raping a woman on a fake promise of work and marriage, a senior official said on Friday.
The 35-year-old victim filed a complaint against the defendant, Manohar Vishe, in this connection at the Narpoli Police Station, he said.
“In accordance with complaints, it was accused of 35 years old in contact with the victim since 2016.
He had told the woman that she was a journalist and promised to give her work in her field and marry her.
He sexually attacked the victim on the promise.
